BELGAUM: Sriram Sene’s Pramod Mutalik has resent his complaint to the Goa Human Rights Commission (GHRC) seeking relief from the State government order banning him from entering the State. The Commission had rejected an earlier plea filed by the founder and national president of the Sene seeking the same relief as it had not been signed by him.
Mutalik in his petition before GHRC earlier and now said it has been six months that he has been banned from entering the State under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code and this was a violation of his constitutional rights. He argued that his organization does not have a presence in Goa and has no members in the State and that his personal and social life has been disturbed as he can’t visit temples and seers due to the restriction on his entry into Goa.
Commission Chairman, Justice P K Misra, with members A D Salkar and J A Keny, in their order had rejected the April 6 plea on the ground that the complaint had not been signed by the complainant but he had put a facsimile stamp in place of his signature.
