PONDA: Sharing confidential information proved costly for a Punjab native, who was allegedly robbed of nearly Rs one lakh.
According to Ponda police, in a case of online fraud, Amarinder Singh received a message on e-commerce payment system app that he has received some goods, which sought personal information in order to deliver the items to his address.
After sharing the personal info, Singh was shocked to find out that an amount of Rs 99,996 was allegedly withdrawn from his bank account in three transactions within few hours, Ponda Police disclosed.
