PONDA: The Goa Dairy since past one year on path of profit making with sale of milk too increased due to joint efforts put by the employees and officials but recently it appears there are differences cropped up among the officials.

This is clear from the letter of Goa Dairy three-member Administrative Committee headed by Administrator Durgesh Shirodkar submitting a memorandum to Registrar of Cooperative Society(RCS)recommending for removal of Goa Dairy Managing Director Anil Fadte citing reason that he is not co-operating and not following the decision of Administrative Committee while managing day to day affairs of the Dairy.
Shirodkar also stated that during the three-member Administrative Committee tenure led by him i.e at the end of financial year on March 31, 2021, Dairy earned a net profit of Rs 3 crore and out of which Rs 1.5 crore is already distributed to the farmers as price difference.
He also mentioned that Goa Dairy sale is jumped to 60,000 litres per day. Earlier, in the recent past, it was average around 53,000 to 55,000 litre per day.
Shirodkar submitted a letter to RCS on October 16, for removal of Fadte on disciplinary ground with replacement of Kashi Naik as new managing director till the post of managing director is filled on regular basis.
However, so far there is no action from RCS on the matter.
Meanwhile, four farmers filed a petition in court against Goa Dairy claiming excess recruitment of 25 staff. When asked Administrator Shirodkar said he is in dark over the recruitment issue and has no idea of recruitments and only Goa Dairy MD can speak on it.
MD Anil Fadte when questioned rejected the claim of excess recruitment. He said, “The seven vacancies caused after retirement of employees are filled up.”
