Vasco: The Goa International Airport is set to get a complete makeover with 32 retail and food & beverage stores as a part of the plan of Airports Authority of India to revamp the customer experience. Travel Food Services, India’s leading Travel, Food, and Retail Company has been awarded the tender for revamping the entire passenger F&B experience at the Goa International Airport.
The company won the tender in a heavily contested bid and was awarded the contract for revamping the dining facilities and raise them to international standards. The company won the tender at a bid of Rs 3.98 crores and today inaugurated some of the outlets at the hands of Executive Director , Commercial, Corporate Headquarters, AAI, K. I. Sharma, B. C. H. Negi, Airport Director, Goa, Sunil Kapur, Chairman, Travel Food Services.
Travel Food Services will be getting major international and National brands to the airport in an attempt to make the airport a global destination of sorts. They have already opened over 13 outlets at the airport and by the end of December, all the F&B outlets will operational including the food court.
Airport Authority of India, functioning under Ministry of Civil Aviation; responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India is on mission of revamping the customer experience across Airports in lndia. In an attempt to upgrade passenger experience of Goa Airport, among several others measures, AAI has come out with a policy to appoint master concessionaire for Retail and F&B for select Airports.

Sharma, ED, Commercial, Corporate Headquarters, AAI, New Delhi said, “Our mission is to upgrade and maintain the Airports to international standards and with changing times we are getting more structured and organized support systems to accentuate the user experience as well as business modalities” said Sharma.
