MARGAO: The Goan Seamen Association of India today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reducing the time frame between the two vaccination doses to 28 days and said this will immensely benefit seafarers who need to travel abroad for their work.
He said the reduction in the time gap has given some hope for seafarers who were fearing of losing their jobs as they would not be able to take the second dose in time before joining.

The Association President Frank Viegas also thanked all those who were involved in taking the decision including Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and NRI Commissioner and urged the CM to appoint the competent authority as soon as possible so that seafarers can take the second dose.
