MAPUSA: A security guard was arrested by Anjuna Police for committing theft of a gold chain from a service apartment located at Anjuna.
The tourist couple from Bengaluru Karnataka who was on a vacation to Goa and was staying in a rented service apartment ‘Goaround Cozy Homes’ at Anjuna lodged a complaint stating that some unknown accused person affected entry into their locked room while they were at Vagator Beach and stole a gold chain and other articles worth approximately Rs 1.2 lakh.

Acting on the complaint, the Anjuna police arrested the culprit Atul Kumar Ramsagar Bais (23), a native of Madhya Pradesh, who was working as a security guard at the hotel, when he was on verge of fleeing to his native place.
