A string of theft cases occurred on Monday at five shops located near the pickup stand in Margao. The thieves successfully made away with cash from each of these establishments.
Girdhari Purohit, one of the affected shop owners, shared his experience with Herald regarding the recent robberies. He revealed that the perpetrators forcefully broke into his shop by damaging the roof, causing significant chaos and disruption. He emphasised the vandalism within the shop as well. The thieves also targeted items such as routers, which were valued between Rs. 1000 and Rs. 3000.
Purohit and several other shop owners have been left to grapple with financial loss in the aftermath of the disruptive burglary.
