PANJIM: In two separate raids over a period of four days, Crime Branch teams arrested two persons from Goa and Maharashtra while in possession of drugs.
The first raid at Margao on March 1 saw a 38-year-old Quepem-native Rajesh alias Raju Devar in possession of over 5 kgs ganja. In the following raid on March 4, Pandurang Pakhare, aged 47 years, from Ahmednagar was also caught red-handed in possession of over 4 kgs ganja at Mapusa bus stand.

According to the CB, both accused upon interrogation confessed they procured ganja for the purpose of sale locally as well as tourists. They have been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and undergoing interrogation.
