Vacancies will be scrapped: Cong on alleged job scam

the Congress on Sunday said it is certain that these vacancies will be scrapped. 

GPCC Media Chairman Amarnath Panjikar said BJP legislators are exposing the job scam of their own government. 

“BJP MLA Babush Monserrate has also exposed the job scam saying for one job Rs 35 lakh are charged. Monserrate said jobs are given to the highest bidders. This means a job scam has taken place,” Panjikar said. 

The opposition urged the youth to not pay for government jobs as present process of recruitment is manipulated and posts will be scrapped.

The Congress leader further said the party will file a complaint with the Vigilance Department in this regard. 

“The recruitment process is manipulated, hence it is our request to youth not to pay for jobs. These jobs will be scrapped as Election Code of Conduct will be in force anytime. We will not keep quiet, we will take action against the officers who are involved in this manipulation. We will paralyse the departments if officers further encourage manipulation,” Panjikar warned. 

GPYC president Varad Mardolkar demanded an inquiry into the whole process and vowed to fight to provide justice to the youth of Goa. 

“Recruitment should be done under Goa Staff Selection Committee. The present process is manipulated and hence we want it scrapped,” he demanded.

Leader Hrudhaynath Shirodkar said they will file complaints with the Vigilance Department against  the departments involved on manipulation of exams. 

“The officers should take note that Congress will be in power soon and then they will have to face the music,” he warned. 

Another leader Mahesh Mhambre said the BJP has become most corrupt and ruling party MLAs are exposing each other over several issues, including job scam. 

General secretary Janardhan Bhandari demanded action against those involved in the job scam. 

“BJP has MLAs, who are master in sex scandal, master in collecting tax, Master in scams,” he added.
