There was no score at full time. Both the teams started the game on a cautious note, as a result the play was confined to midfield. Midway in the opening session, Chandor Club came close in surging ahead but Ivan Pinto’s rasping shot miss the mark narrowly.
Verna did not lag behind and nearly found the success but striker Santan Rego’s try was well blocked by Chandor Club goalkeeper.
Post resumption, both the teams adopted an aggressive approach and raided each other’s goal. They had equal number of scoring chances but their forwards misfired from close range.
In the penalty shoot out, Stanely Hadangali, Moses D’Sa, Ivan Pinto, Sevraj D’Costa and Zico Dias were on target for Chandor Club while Matheus Abranches, Savio Fernandes and Santan Rego found the mark for Verna.
