The Panjim-based I-League outfit will also lend one youth coach to impart training to the school teams.
The chairman of Dempo Sports Club Shrinivas Dempo said, “We had a fruitful understanding with Fr Agnel HS, Pilar during the last season. The Dempo U-14 team comprising only of players from Fr Agnel School performed very well as they emerged runners-up in the GFA U-14 tournament.”
Shrinivas expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support and commitment of the school management towards development of football.
He further disclosed, “this year Dempo SC will be supporting football development in the school right from the age 8 to 16 years.”
The headmaster of Fr Agnel HS, Fr Richard Crasto expressed his gratitude to the club and said, “We are thankful to Dempo SC for this partnership. We are hopeful that this project will provide the necessary professional expertise to the school and encourage our students to aspire for representing the club in the future.”
Dempo SC will also be sponsoring the 4th Macabeus Rodrigues memorial inter-school football tournament, which is said to commence from July 13.
