MAPUSA/RAIA: FC Goa development squad registered a fluent 3-0 win over Benny XI SC in the GFA’s Second Division League Bardez Zone match played at Parra ground, on Saturday.

Wesley D’Sa opened the account with a fine header while Shawn Fernandes doubled the lead by guiding the ball into the goal off a free-kick.
Benny XI SC colts did have their chances too but the last line of young Gaurs marshalled by skipper Wesley along with keeper Aryan Yogesh held their defence intact, where build up moves through Michael Dias, Manthan Parwar and Samuel Mato were curbed in time.
On crossing over, young Gaurs almost netted their third goal but a stinging free kick by Cain Fernandes was brilliantly fisted over the crossbar by Benny’s XI SC’s custodian Adi Sharma.
In the closing stages of the match, young Gaurs pumped in their third goal, where Shawn Fernandes set up Joybud Mesquita on top of the penalty box, who dribbled past the onrushing Benny XI SC’s keeper and placed the ball into the goal, 3-0.
At Sirsaim ground, PVC Parra defeated Assonora SC by 3-0 margin. Presly Pinto, Hilton Fernandes and Sahil Jilmi scored for the winners.
At Rosary ground, Navelim, Carmel SC defeated Our Lady of Gloria SC 5-1.
Sandeep Chaudhary netted a hat-trick, while Valinton Silva and Keegan Fernandes scored a goal each for Carmel SC. For Our Lady of Gloria SC, Sanjiro Pango reduced the margin.
At Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, Guirdolim Club downed Deao SC 2-0. Jilito Tavares and Lawren Fernandes netted a goal each for Guirdolim Club.
Salcete Zone: At Nagao Village Panchayat ground, St Anthony SC, Assolda, outplayed UC Telaulim 3-0.
Vitoriono Fernandes, Rizbon Fernandes and Jason Dias netted a goal each for St Anthony SC.
