MAPUSA: Nerul SC registered a hard-fought 1-0 win over FC Tuem in the Goveia Cup organised by YSC Colvale at Colvale Church ground, on Monday.
Both teams had a couple of chances in the early stages which their respective strikers failed to score.
In the 39th minute, Nerul SC scored from a goal-mouth melee through Mahadev Naik, which ultimately resulted in the match winner.
The player-of-the-match was awarded to Priyesh Parab of Nerul SC by Stephen Lobo, YSC Colvale Executive Committee Member.
