PANJIM: Progress High School, Sanquelim thumped AJ de Almeida High School by six wickets to enter the semi-final of Germania inter-school cricket tournament, organized by Panjim Gymkhana, at Panjim Gymkhana ground, here, on Saturday.
AJ de Almeida won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted 99 in 19.5 all out. Sanath Prabhu and Mehul Patel scored 27 runs each.
Bablo Gawas was the star of the day as he picked up four wickets, giving away only 13 runs. Sahil Parwar and Uddesh Parab clinched two wickets each. Vithal Pethkar picked up one wicket.
In reply, Progress chase the total with six wickets in hand in 14 overs.
Rishab Naik and Tukaram Naik scored 26 runs each although Ghanashyam Tari secured three wickets.
