Richard gets UEFA B Licence

Richard Hood, director, Vasco Sports Club Academy returned to Goa on Tuesday after successfully completing a UEFA “B” Licence football coaching course from Bolton Academy, United Kingdom.
Richard, who recently completed an AFC “B” licence in Singapore, was delighted at achieving the European equivalent after starting the course in 2008.
Comparing the courses, Richard said, “The AFC B licence was obtained within a period of three months, but the UEFA version takes a lot longer and we need to provide evidence how we conducted our fitness and psychological sessions with our club.”
Richard would now like to venture a step further by setting up a unique scholarship scheme between Vasco Sports Club and Chowgule College where players will be able to pursue higher studies.
Salgaocar coach, Karim Bencherifa recently passed the AFC “A” licence football coaching course, although he holds an “A” distinction from his native country Morocco.
