PANJIM: SAI Veterans and Morjim Veterans eased into the quarter-finals of 5th Pogo Boys 50+ veterans football at Merces Church ground, Sunday.
SAI Veterans rode on a brace from former India international Franky Barreto and a goal from Patrick Silveira to breeze past Just Fitness Miramar Veterans 3-0.

Morjim Veterans humbled Amigos St Anna Veterans 4-0 in another match.
Morjim Veterans dictated terms and Shankar Dhargalkar found the net in the 9th and 36th minutes. Shekhar Shirodkar scored the third in the 40thminute and then six minutes later, Gilbert Fernandes rounded off the tally.
A well-struck long-ranger from SAI’s Franky Barreto lodged into the net after taking a deflection. Barreto made it 2-0 in the 35th minute. Patrick Silveira had an easy tap-in off Rafiq Bepari in the 39th minute.
