Sharda Mandir Higher Secondary School, Miramar won both the boys and girls inter-zonal badminton tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa.
The boys team comprised of Mihir Pai Raiker, Sushil Nayak, Parth Teli, Morvin Mohnot and Arjun Malhotra while the girls team was made up of Rhea Mallya, Aahana Naik, Siya Gosavi, Mailey Thomas and Katelynn Vaz.
In the boys final, they edged past St Xavier’s High Secondary School, Mapusa 2-1. The girls blanked DM’s PVS Khushe Higher Secondary School, Assagao 2-0.
The third place in both the categories was bagged by Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Bicholim.
