Fish vendors also called for installing light fixtures in the shed for the construction of toilets in the vicinity of the market. Meanwhile, they also complained that some fish vendors are still selling fish on the streets despite the council having taken a recent decision against this.

Chairperson Hodarkar said that from Wednesday they will start drive with police protection against such activity. “We have already allotted spaces to them in the fish market and if anyone found selling fish at any other place strict action will be taken including cancellation of allotted spaces,” warned Hodarkar.
