PANJIM: Junior Herald, in association with Youth Hostel, Miramar, organised its first summer camp at the youth hostel premises. Students from various schools attended the much-awaited camp and the excitement was visible on the faces of the children. Children from various schools, both from North and South of Goa, attended this event.
Junior Herald organised various activities including quizzes, games, drawing workshop by Deepak Gaad along with his assistant Harichandra Chari from the District Institution of Education and Training. Gaad taught the children techniques in vegetable art and gave them basic tips on drawing. Children were then given an hour to paint using the techniques they had learnt.
After the drawing segment, games were organised for the children. Many children came forward and entertained the crowd by singing songs, reciting poems, stories and telling jokes. Junior Herald also gave away prizes to all the children who came forward and displayed their talent.
Children eagerly watched the magic show by Jaddugar Premanand.
