MARGAO: The Salcete BDO inspected houses of Colva sarpanch Anthony Fernandes and 2 other panchas following complaints of illegalities.
The complainant said there are no conversion sanads, no occupancy and permissions for extensions to the existing structure of the sarpanch. Extension Officer of the BDO, Angelico Gracias, who conducted the inspection along with other officials, said the report will be submitted. The team however said that two inspections did not happen because of commotion and absence of the deponent. Another 5 inspections will be conducted soon, which include houses of activists and other structures.
