MARGAO: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has said that Chowgule College is playing with the future of students with State patronage and lack of governance in the state.
Reacting to the uproar in the Chowgule college premises on Saturday, Sardesai said there was no one in the state to take decisions with the Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, who also holds the Education portfolio, presently out of the country.
“The Chowgule management thinks that the student problem is akin to an industrial dispute. They think that they can shut down the Chowgule educational institute by declaring it sick like an industry,” he said, while blaming the government for giving patronage to the management.
