QUEPEM: Despite having a great parking lot available next to the Quepem Municipal building, the same is not utilised resulting in haphazard parking by the roadside in the market causing problem to all and sundry.
A parking lot capable of accommodating around 60 four wheelers has been prepared near the municipal building, but the same is not used because it has not been notified as parking lot nor is there any signboard signifying its use.

As a result people visiting the Quepem market which is adjacent to the municipal building and various government offices in the taluka headquarters opposite the market, park their vehicles by the roadside.
The various government offices in the taluka headquarters are Deputy Collector’s office along with offices of Taluka Mamlatdar, BDO, Transport Department, PWD, Town Planning, and Electricity Department amongst others.
People visiting the city have been facing parking problem for many years now and the municipal council does not seem to be in any hurry to address this problem.
