PANJIM: The Government of Goa has announced fresh applications for financial assistance to the meritorious sportsperson of yesteryears, presently in indigent circumstances.
An amount of Rs 8,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 for International, National and State level respectively is being granted. Presently, there are 10 International, 37 Nationals and four State recipients availing the scheme.

The application forms and guidelines may be obtained from Divadkar Kotkar, assistant physical education officer, sports section, DSYA, Campal; Guilson Baptista, assistant physical education officer, PJN Stadium, Fatorda; Mahesh Rivonkar, assistant physical education officer, Taluka sports complex, Mapusa.
Duly filled application may be submitted to any of the above departments on or before May 15.
