Goa Police Launch ‘Operation Cyber Vigil’ to Crack Down on Cyber Fraud Networks

Goa Police have launched Operation Cyber Vigil, a large-scale coordinated operation aimed at dismantling organised cyber-enabled financial fraud networks operating across the state. The multi-state initiative is being carried out jointly by the Cyber Crime Police Station, North District Police, South District Police, Kushavati District Police and the Crime Branch.

The operation is being supervised by DIG Ved Prakash Surya, IPS, under the guidance of IGP K.R. Chaurasia, IPS, and DGP Alok Kumar, IPS. According to Goa Police, the crackdown focuses on identifying fraudsters involved in cyber financial crimes through intelligence-based investigations and coordinated enforcement.
