Goa Police have launched Operation Cyber Vigil, a large-scale coordinated operation aimed at dismantling organised cyber-enabled financial fraud networks operating across the state. The multi-state initiative is being carried out jointly by the Cyber Crime Police Station, North District Police, South District Police, Kushavati District Police and the Crime Branch.
The operation is being supervised by DIG Ved Prakash Surya, IPS, under the guidance of IGP K.R. Chaurasia, IPS, and DGP Alok Kumar, IPS. According to Goa Police, the crackdown focuses on identifying fraudsters involved in cyber financial crimes through intelligence-based investigations and coordinated enforcement.

Officials said the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening cyber security, improving inter-state coordination and ensuring swift legal action against individuals and networks involved in online financial fraud and other cyber-related offences.
