Dempo’s Kirtikesh Gadekar would have doubled the lead when he drilled a low shot at the goal but keeper Savio Paes pushed the ball for a corner with a diving save.
At the other end Calangute’s Sachidanand was well positioned inside the penalty box, but the latter shot weakly into the waiting hands of keeper Tyson.

However in the 62nd minute, Calangute’s keeper could do very little to stop Clive Colaco connect Jessel Carneiro’s corner into the goal to make it 3-0.
Calangute players’ best chance to pull a goal came in the 65th minute, where Bhilu Chawan tap into the unguarded Dempo goal off a free-kick by Dominic Fernandes which was cleared on the goal line by defender Naveen Mendes.
