Railway police reunite runaway Kerala children with parents

MARGAO: Railway Police Force (RPF) and Staff of Konkan Railway at Margao railway station reunited runaway children from Kerala with their families.

MARGAO: Railway Police Force (RPF) and Staff of Konkan Railway at Margao railway station reunited runaway children from Kerala with their families.
Chief Public Relations Officer Siddeshwar Telugu stated that while performing duty at Margao Station, Constable D Manshing noticed two children loitering on platform No 1 near Benjoe Rail Restaurant. When inquired, children could not give satisfactory reply. There was no ticket with them. Hence, he brought both the children to RPF Post.
“On further enquiry with the children, it was revealed that they ran away from their house due to some personal problems. They further revealed that their parents used to abuse them badly as they were weak in studies and hence they ran away from their houses. The matter was informed to their parents at Kasargod, Kerala. The children were kept under safe custody till their parents arrived at Margao. In the mean time RPF staff, Margao counselled both the children,” added Telugu.
The two boys both aged 14 and residents of Kasargod Kerala are Salman Farrish, son of Basheer Farrish, and Abdul Basith, son of Abdul Rehman
The parents of both the children approached RPF office, Margao and identified their children. After completing the formalities, children were handed over to their respective parents.
“The timely action initiated by the on duty staff D.Manshing, Constable/RPF/Margao resulted in reuniting these children with their families. The good work done by  RPF staff of Konkan Railway at Margao has been highly appreciated by their parents and is being applauded by the public in general,” said Telugu.
