“I don’t want to write off what Congress did for the state of Goa. I don’t want to blame the Congress for all the ills of Goa too. The Congress spited against me hence we had to teach them a lesson” Vijai said while revealing his bitter sweet relationship with the grand old party.

“There is a sentiment of the people that all those who are opposed to the Dr Pramod Sawant government should come together and the government should come to an end. This is a public sentiment I see especially during the seafarers’ issue. The strange behaviour of the government meted out specifically to trouble the seafarers is seen by the Goans,” Vijai said.

When asked whether he sees a favourable environment in Congress now,  he said, “I don’t know how the Congress works. Many people say that it is in the lockdown, we cannot go in lockdown we have to be unlocked”.
