The Goa Forward Party (GFP), along with motorcycle pilots, has submitted a memorandum to the Director of Transport demanding the withdrawal of the proposed Mhaje App for motorcycle pilots, alleging that the initiative would negatively impact the livelihoods of traditional pilot riders.
The party contended that a large number of motorcycle pilots are elderly and depend on the existing stand-based system for their daily earnings. It also pointed out that many of them are not digitally equipped to operate through an app-based platform, making the transition difficult.

Urging the government to reconsider the proposal, the GFP said the interests and livelihoods of traditional motorcycle pilots must be safeguarded. The party appealed to the Transport Department to withdraw the proposed app and ensure that any reforms in the sector do not adversely affect those who rely on the conventional system for their income.
