RAIA: Agxem SC downed SC Virabhat 3-0 to clinch the Batora United Curtorim Cup in the final of 9-a-side football tournament organised by Batora United, at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.
Agxem SC opened the scoreline through Nickson Casthana with a penalty kick in the 6th minute.
Two minutes later, Savio Gomes doubled the lead for Agxem SC. Then Venson Paes of SC Virabhat missed a chance to score in the 20th minute.
Agxem SC further inflated the lead through Alroy Gomes in the 46th minute.
Chief guest Batora United, Curtorim, member Bruno Lourenco gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Curtorim Sarpanch Alcino D’Silva, social worker Conceicao Dias, Curtorim Gymkhana President Arnaldo D’Costa.
Wilson Luis compered, while Franky Rebello proposed a vote of thanks.
