PANJIM: On Thursday, 67 patients in quarantine tested negative for COVID-19, while three new suspects were placed in isolation at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC).
As per the bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), of the 116 test reports pending, the results of 67 were negative, while the reports of 49 are awaited.

With three new suspects admitted in GMC, patients in isolation are five. No new passenger was placed under home quarantine or facility quarantine. Contacts quarantined at Old Goa Residency are three.
Currently, the State has only one active case, admitted at the COVID hospital, Margao, while six have recovered.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane held a review meeting with Secretary Health, GMC and DHS officials to discuss the preparedness for lockdown 2.0. “Strict instructions have been issued to the Dean of GMC to set protocols and standard of procedure in order for the use of ventilators. We should have trained personnel to manage the ventilators, to this effect, doctors and consultants will be trained,” he said.
