CALANGUTE: A cow was rescued by fire services after it accidentally fell into a power line cable trench at Calangute.
According to sources, a passerby noticed the cow struggle in the trench and alerted former Calangute sarpanch Laxman Porob, who in turn, notified the fire services and animal rescue teams.
The stranded animal was finally rescued with the help of locals in presence of Calangute Sarpanch Geeta Porob. Locals informed that another cow was also rescued a few days ago from a similar trench.
