PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant released a book, titled “Criminal Administration: Law and Practice” penned by Dr Naguesh Sadanand Colvalkar, associate professor of V M Salgaocar College, on Monday.
The book was released in the presence of Prasad Lolyenkar, Director of Higher Education at Chief Minister’s official residence, at Altinho, here.

In his book, Dr Colvalkar strived to trace in depth the evolution of the judicial system in the State. His forays into the administration of criminal justice in the State is an elaborate account of the criminal courts, police procedures in criminal investigation and a useful guide to any criminal lawyer.
It’s detailed analysis of the criminal justice system with various suggestions for its improvement. The book is an intellectual and academic exercise especially of the criminal justice system that exists in the past, present, and future challenges and will also acts a reference book in the study of the administration of the criminal system in the State. The information provided in the book will be valuable and helpful to advocates and the law students.
The Chief Minister congratulated Dr Colvalkar for his painstaking efforts to pen the book. Principal of V M Salgaonkar College of Law Dr Shaber Ali, Adv Ajitsingh Rane, Adv Arti Naguesh Colvalkar and others attended the function.
