PANJIM: Disabled Rights Action Group (DRAG) has accused the Department of Tourism of not inviting one of the most active and largest disability associations of Goa, as speakers for the World Tourism Day Function, at Paryatan Bhavan, Patto on Tuesday.
DRAG expressed dissatisfaction, as it being the most active and largest disability organizations of Goa, it  was left uninvited to speak at the tourism event, though the theme for the day was ‘Access to All’ specifically aiming at making tourism easy for the disabled.
Stating it is clear that the government has no commitment to the cause they are celebrating, DRAG said there are other issues that need to be addressed that haven’t been tackled by the Ministry of Tourism, the Department of Tourism, GTDC, Department of Social Welfare, Commissioner for Disabilities and Ministry of Social Justice.
DRAG questioned the department, asking why none of the major disability organizations in Goa had been invited to speak at the function on Tuesday? Is their voice not important enough?
