PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party has once again criticised Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant for being a puppet of the BJP’s Central High Command and not listening to the people of Goa.
AAP Spokesperson Surel Tilve stated that the Chief Minister’s latest statement that the Mollem project will be completed despite opposition from people of Goa is a proof.
Tilve also pointed out that Dr Sawant has assured his Delhi party leaders that the Tamnar Transmission Project Ltd will be completed even though entire Goa is protesting against it and reiterated that this proofs that the Chief Minister does not listen to the Goans but dances to the tunes of his Delhi party bosses, who are backing this project.
“The Goans have been objecting for so long now, that they do not want their State to be converted into a coal hub, but the Chief Minister is refusing to listen to them,” lamented Tilve while terming Dr Sawant as the most useless Chief Minister, Goa has ever had.
“Just a week back the Chief Minister launched a Bird Festival at Mollem, which is a total farce when in reality the Chief Minister is conniving to destroy the wildlife in Mollem,” he added.
“Let the Chief Minister tell the public how many birds he spotted during the festival,” Tilve charged.
He alleged that such festivals are organised only to waste public money and help the BJP cronies and friends make some money under the guise of doing something at such farcical festivals.
He appealed to the Chief Minister to atleast listen to the people now who are protesting against coal, or protection of Mhadei River and Mollem Wildlife Sanctuary and not be a mere puppet of BJP’s Delhi bosses.
Meanwhile, the Mormugao unit of the party wrote an objection letter to the Directorate of Municipal Administration and to the Goa State Election Commission requesting them to intervene and restructure the ward reservation by giving reservation to women in Mormugao Constituency.
In its objection letter, the party raised a strong objection over the election reservation from the Urban Development Department order.
