Nitish in India chess team

PANJIM: Goa’s Nitish Belurkar registered a fascicle victory over Indrajeet Mahindrakar of Maharastra in the 11th round of National Sub-Junior Chess championship which concluded in Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday.

By virtue, Nitish entered the Indian team for the World Youth Chess Olympiad.
Nitish was tied for second place on 8.5 points but had to settle for the fourth place on tie break. 
The World Youth Chess Olympiad will be held next year in Tatri, Slovakia. 
Vinay Tendulkar (GCA President), Kishore Bandekar (secretary), Ramdas Sawant (treasurer) and Mahesh Candolkar (President of TTCA) and other office bearers congratulated Nitish on his performance. Nitish is coached by Dronacharya awardee Raghunandan Gokhale.
