PONDA: In response to the issues raised by locals in the recent gram sabha, the Bhoma-Adcolna Sarpanch, Damodar Naik, along with panch members, conducted an inspection of the newly inaugurated Banastarim market. The primary focus of the inspection was to address concerns related to traffic chaos, parking problems, and encroachments that were causing inconvenience to shoppers.
During the inspection, the panchayat officials directed vendors to clear encroachments both on the roadside and in the parking area of the market, to create a more organised and accessible space for shoppers.

Local residents had previously raised complaints about traffic congestion and parking issues, highlighting the impact of roadside vendors on established businesses within the market complex. In response to these concerns, Naik called for vendors to conduct their businesses inside the designated market area.
Addressing the encroachment in parking areas, the panchayat directed vendors to promptly clear their wares, ensuring that visitors to the market have sufficient parking space for their vehicles. Additionally, the panchayat urged vendors to ensure the proper issuance of receipts for sopo tax by the designated contractor. If any discrepancies in tax receipts arise, vendors are encouraged to file complaints with the panchayat office.
