The Bombay High Court at Goa Tuesday granted extension of three months time to Goa police to complete the departmental inquiry against Police Sub Inspector Nerlon Albuquerque.
The Division Bench of Justices S B Deshmukh and U D Salvi allowed time till November 30, 2009 to complete pending inquiry against Albuquerque while hearing his writ petition filed by him challenging his dismissal from service.
He was suspended in March last year and thereafter dismissed from service in April by the then Inspector General of Police Kishan Kumar for allegedly sabotaging investigation of the murder case of British minor, Scarlet Keeling whose semi-clad bruised body was found on the Anjuna beach early morning of February 18, 2008.
