I have finally got to a point that prompts me to write about the nuisance created at Goan beaches. The other day I witnessed a group of about 15 students come to the Galgibaga beach, drinking and eating food. I left them to stagger around drunk, including the girls.
The following day I found rubbish, waste and empty booze bottles lying all around. These students appeared to be Goan and judging by their vehicle registration plates and they appeared well dressed and groomed. India and Goans, you should be ashamed of yourselves. The youth of today are the adults of tomorrow. These young people have access to all the media including social media, but still the message of ‘clean India’ has not got through. Education begins at home. If you read this and have children, tonight go home and tell them not to litter, to clean up after having party on beaches. If you are a teacher take time in your class to teach your students to keep India and Goa clean. If you know the people who came to Galgibaga beach on December 11, then let their names be known and shame them.
I am afraid this is the last nail in the coffin for Goa for me and after 13 years of coming this will be my last. Well done Goa for loosing another visitor I hope you can keep on relying on the Russian visitors like what you have been doing for the last few years.
