RAIA: In a well contested match, Guardian Angel Sports Club and Tuff Laxmi Prasad Sports Club settled for a 1-1 draw in the GFA Pro League at Raia Panchayat ground, on Sunday.
Tuff Laxmi Prasad were leading 1-0 at half time. Tuff Laxmi Prasad in the very 6th minute had a chance to take lead but Agnelo Colaco’s shot hit the goalpost of Guardian Angel SC and went out of play off a connect by Francis Oneyema.
Guardian Angel SC too spoiled a chance to score in the 10th minute. Godfrey Silva after receiving the ball from Djourou Isaac directly shot into the hands of Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC goalkeeper Sidesh Morge.
Agnelo this time was on target off a free kick in the 24th minute.
With change of ends, Guardian Angel SC regrouped with renewed ideas and started attacking the rival citadel with Anthony Pereira and William Colaco tormenting the rival defence time and again.
In the 67th minute, Djourou passed the ball to Anthony but the latter shot wide. Tuff Laxmi Prasad’s Francis Onyema long ranger shot was fisted away by the Guardian Angel SC goalkeeper for a corner in the 70th minute.
Guardian Angel SC got the much needed equalizer in the 76th minute through William off a free kick supply from Anthony.
Referee Mackenzly Silveira gave marching orders to Bonny Niasso of Tuff Laxmi Prasad in the 80th minute for unsporting behaviour. Biju Kumar of Tuff Laxmi Prasad and Gammy Costa of Guardian Angel SC were also given marching orders in the injury time.
