The Union cabinet at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on August 3 has approved the Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Bill, 2016, providing for hefty penalties for violation of road safety rules. The fine for driving without a licence has been fixed to Rs 5,000 while the fine for drunken driving has been raised to Rs 10,000. The important provision includes increase in compensation for hit-and-run cases from Rs 25,000 to Rs 2 lakh. It also provides for compensation up to Rs 10 lakh in road accidents fatalities. But the most shocking decision is about the new proposed penalty on those driving without helmets and which has been raised from the current Rs 100 to Rs 1,000 apart from suspension of license for three months.
It should be noted that Narendra Modi had come to power at the centre during the last Lok Sabha elections by promising guaranteed ‘ache din’ for the people of this country. Unfortunately, today Modi seem to have forgotten all such promises as his government is seen daringly harassing our aam-Indians through different ways since the last 2 ½ years in the name of taking this nation to greater heights and making their life miserable.
Today, the worst part is that Modi is seen doing nothing to check rising inflation but wasting public funds on huge advertisements on newspapers glorifying himself for all his so-called great achievements, taxing poor middle class from all sides to improve the so-called “Indian Economy” even after seeing the rise in prices of all essential commodities like vegetables, pulses, dal etc in our country. Now, when will the ‘ache din’ that were promised during the last Lok Sabha election campaign by Narendra Modi ever come for the people of this country? Or were all those big talks of Narendra Modi of ‘ache din’ all political gimmicks meant to hypnotize all the gullible poor people of this country to win the last Lok Sabha election with a huge margin?
Ache-din will never ever come for the people of this country coz these are nothing but false dreams which are sold by politicians like Narendra Modi using media during elections just to win votes in countries like India…. God save India…
