CORJEM-CURTORIM: Damdolem Sports Club defeated Paldem Sports Club 4-1 to lift the Corjem Inter-Ward Cup, played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim on Sunday.
Paldem’s Joliton was the first to score in the 7th minute but the joy was short-lived as Jeliston equalised for Damdolem.
Later, Damdolem netted three more goals through Milagres and s Ryan brace to make it 4-1.
Following were the individual prizes: Best player: Jovil (Paldem); Best forward: Milagres (Damdolem); Best defender: Myson (Damdolem); Emerging player: Godwin Mascarenhas (Paldem).
Moreno Rebello, ZP member, Curtorim constituency, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Rui Menezes, Sarpanch ov VP Curtorim, Diniz Sardinha, Fr Clifton Fernandes, Jackson Sequeira and other dignitaries.
