CALANGUTE: A family of three had a lucky escape after a coconut tree came crashing down on their house at Nagoa-Arpora on Thursday evening.
The coconut tree fell on the house belonging to Edward Fernandes, damaging roof tiles, but the family members escaped unhurt though they were inside the house. Heavy rains caused inconvenience to the family. The Mapusa fire personnel led by Shivaji Naik were attending to a fire call at Arpora, but had rushed to the site at Nagoa. The firemenbraving heavy rains cut the coconut tree dangerously placed on the roof of the house.
