There were no scores in regulation time as both teams failed to convert their chances.
In the 6th minute, Guardian Angel SC Austern Fernandes and Melvito Fernandes combined well upfront to break the rival midfield but Sao Jose de Areal’s Aggie Antao intercepted Austern before he could pull the trigger.
St Jose de Areal could have taken the lead in the 43th minute but David Colaco took his own time to shoot, which was tackled out for safety by Kanchan Keiro.
There was no much action in the second half as both teams opted for defensive play.

In the resultant tie-breaker, Guardian Angel scored through Austern Fernandes, Melvito Fernandes, Kanchan Keiro and Manish Oliveira, while St Jose de Areal netted through Aggie Antao and David Colaco.
Guardian Angel were awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a trophy while the runners-up had to be content with Rs 40,000.
Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utorda parish priest Fr Santo Antonio Pereira was the chief guest for the function and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of guest of honour Viola Pacheco, Nuvem MLA Micky Pacheco, Our Lady of Remedious, Church Betalbatim parish priest Fr Pascoal Afonso.
