PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar announced that a flyover would be built in Ponda and a traffic management plan would be put in place, as he paraded the newly elected councillors and the chairperson and vice chairpersons of the Ponda and Sanquelim Municipal councils.
“A project has been planned for Ponda to build a flyover along the nullah to connect the two bypasses. Today if one has to go from one bypass to the next, one has to pass through the city adding to the congestion,” Parrikar said adding that the project was estimated at around Rs 80-100 crore and would be built through the GSIDC within one and a half year.
