OLD GOA: Norman Fernandes, prime accused arrested in connection with the double murder of his sister and her mother-in-law, was on Sunday remanded to six days police custody.
Norman was arrested on Saturday afternoon shortly after his discharge from the GMC hospital,
where he was being treated for nearly two weeks after sustaining injuries in the incident.
Old Goa Police Inspector Krishna Sinari said Norman was produced before the Panjim JMFC on Sunday and has been remanded to six days police custody.
Sinari police are interrogating him in connection with the double murder.
It may be recalled that a family dispute over property matters ended in a gruesome end on September 2, when Norman was accused of stabbing his sister, Noreen, and her mother-in-law, Aurita Vaz, to death at their residence in Santa Cruz. Noreen’s husband, Edgar, was also injured in the incident.
