Speaking to the media persons, Cortalim MLA assured the people that both the newly built facilities such as the Cansaulim PHC and Cortalim Market Complex would be operational soon. She said that the Cansaulim PHC was almost completed but necessary permissions for basic amenities such as power and water had not been obtained.

Saldanha said that the committee in charge has met the contractor who has asked for around three months and after furniture and equipment are placed, the government will take a decision.

Giving the status of the Cortalim Market Complex, Saldanha mentioned that the vendors were doing business in pathetic conditions presently and the area had also seen rise in COVID cases.

“The Chief Minister has taken keen interest in doing what it takes to try and shift the vendors in the market soon and the policy is being regulated,” she said.
