PANJIM: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has identified a total of 29 accident-prone stretches on National Highways in the State, which have been labelled as “black spots”.
A total of 3,456 accidents have occurred on these “black spots” since the year 2018 till 2020. This figure is a combination of road accidents and fatalities. There were 1,425 accidents in 2018; 1,244 accidents in 2019 whereas the provisional figure for 2020 is 787 accidents.
