NAGOA-VERNA: Sao Jose de Areal blanked CDJ Ribandar 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Nagoa Village Panchayat Cup, organised by PAX of Nagoa Sports Club, at Village Panchayat ground, Nagoa-Verna on Thursday.
CDJ Ribandar dominated the first 15 minutes of the first half with the set pieces of Vishal Adonkar, Rohan Shirodkar and Pravin Bandodkar missing clear chances to score in the tenth, twelth and 15th minutes respectively. It was Areal’s Daryl Costa who netted the first goal of the match with a snap shot in the 28th minute.
