PANJIM: Damodar Higher Secondary School will take on St Alex Higher Secondary School, Curtorim in the final of the Zone IV U-19 Boys football tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Borimoll Sports Complex ground, Quepem.
In the first semi-finals, Damodar HSS defeated Shiroda HSS 5-3 via the tie-breaker after the teams were locked 1-1 at full time.
Glasleee Fernandes gave lead to Shiroda HSS in the first session of the match which was later cancelled by Ivon Costa in the second session.
In the tie-breaker, Handlee Carvalho, Lariston Correia, Pelly Menezees and Clinton scored for Damodar HSS while Samuel Jonathan and Lester Colaco found the net for Shiroda HSS.
In the second semi-finals, St Alex HSS, Curtorim defeated Govt.
Higher Secondary of Canacona 4-0 margin with Louie Noronha scoring a brace while Mable Miranda and Robinson Colaco scored one goal each.
