According to a complaint filed by the Consul General to Goa Police Chief Muktesh Chander, one Levino De Mello was stopped by security persons at the main entrance of the Portuguese consulate but managed to enter the premises and reach the office of the consul general and threaten him.
Other consulate staff was also threatened on intervening in the matter. Chander transferred the case to Panjim police station that registered an offence under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 447 (criminal trespass) against the De Mello.
